Thomas Tuchel on injury News: “I can tell you that Mateo and Romelu are still out for tomorrow. Romelu is close to team training so hopefully will join the squad on Sunday, he is pushing hard to come back ASAP. Mateo it will take another days until he is ready and will miss more matches. Timo in team training since yesterday, we will see as we have another training in two hours.
Myabe he can make the squad or the bench. Pulisic feels fine. Thiago will be training, he did not play [for Brazil] but he has some travel in his body and time difference. I am confident. Mason is back in training.”

Thomas Tuchel on Romelu Lukaku: “We will talk with the doctors, physios and the player. If something is to be decided then it will be on Monday evening. If everything works out perfectly, maybe he can join the group on the bench [next week].”

Thomas Tuchel on Jorginho: “He knows everybody will support him. He’s fully respected and appreciated. We are super happy that he’s back. These things happen. He’s not the first, and won’t be the last to miss a penalty. It’s a demanding one to prepare for 12:30, it’s new. We are used to it after national break, you won’t see a lot of coaches after it, to have a full squad Friday to play Saturday. There are no excuses.”

Thomas Tuchel on Conor Gallagher (1/3): “It’s too early to talk about it, and way too early to talk about it in public. This will happen in summer [talks]. This is the decision we agreed to, to join Crystal Palace. I’m not surprised that national coach loves him. I love him. Humble, nice, smile on face, ready to learn and improve. I would also as a teammate loved to have played with him. He’s a helper, starter, running and stealing balls. It’s a pleasure. The rest we will decide, not in a rush.
Thomas Tuchel on Conor Gallagher (2/3): “I have not thought about bringing him back earlier. It’s important for him to be happy where he is. It’s important to be calm in this stage of career. I feel him happy there. It’s good that he has that impact.”
Thomas Tuchel on Conor Gallagher (3/3): “I don’t think it’s necessary for him to change in winter.
Thomas Tuchel: “My job does not feel like a job. I am enjoying every day, being around the squad and football team. I feel privileged. I’m ready to go [for the hectic schedule]. It consumes me in a good way, I love the game.”
Thomas Tuchel on Leicester City: “They had a key player with Fofana got injured. This can create a bit of trouble in starting to a season. They are a team full of individual quality, talent. It’s a top team, club coach. I expect a tough one. I expect Chelsea to play with hunger, passion and with the pure will to win. This is the mindset which we want to install to restart winning, and to restart our engine after the national break. Everybody tells me it’s a tough place.”
